Register your boat under the Belgian Flag

Registration of boats under the Belgian flag used to be common practice. However, in September 2019 the government changed this by announcing that boat registration under the Belgian flag would only be available for Belgian citizens and companies. Now, if you want to register a boat under the Belgian flag, you must either be a Belgian citizen or have a Belgian company that you own at least 50% of.

Existing licenses will not be affected by this new rule until their renewal period expires. If you are a Belgian citizen, you can still contact us to deal with your boat registration.
